Council Minutes of 7/6/93 <br />LEGISLATION (continued) <br />Reso ution No. - was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Leonard. <br />A resolution authorizing thine Director of Public Service to advertise for and <br />accept bids for the ccmatructon of W+~stewater Treatment Plant improveeoents (Bid <br />Package ~2) at the Wastewater Treatment Plant as detailed in the speci£ieations <br />on file, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 93-99 was introduced and placed on first resting by Mr. Leonard. <br />An ordinance accepting a traffic control easement located on property owned by <br />Emro Marketing Caapany and designated as Fermarient Parcel No. 232-26-16 by <br />Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, said easement shown on Exhibit "C", and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 93-100 was introduced and placed an first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance to transfer and make appropriations for current expenses auxi other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ~T18 r 31, 1993. <br />Mr. Lind moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and co~mittee <br />review; second by Mrs. Bahas; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Liixi moved for <br />adoption; second by Mrs. Bahas; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 93-100 <br />adopted. <br />Miscellax~ous Business <br />Mrs. roger as a whether the donation of land referred to in Ordinance 93-98 <br />was far the utilization of the adjacent condominium asisociation. Mayor Boyle <br />replied. that the land was being donated to the city for recreational purpo~s arxi <br />it would be considered public land. Since it is so close to a busy street, it <br />will simply be a green area with ~ recreational equipment. <br />Mrs. Beringer asked if it was permissible for college students to paint street <br />addresses on curbs. A discussion ensued as to whether this was permissible under <br />city ordinance. Mr. Gareau commented that there was nothing prod.biting this <br />practice. Mayor Boyle said that having street addresses on the curb is often a <br />help to the Police ami Fire Departments. <br />Finance, Recreation ~ Transportation Committee meetings will be set at a later <br />date. <br />Mr. McKay wished everyone an enjoyable vacation. <br />President Boehmer commented that the Independence Day celebration and picnic had <br />been asuccess-everyone had a great timo! Mayor Boyle said that more than 200 <br />youngsters had participated in the bicycle parade. <br />Mrs. Beringer announced that St. John Westshore Hospital was sponsoring a <br />Festival of Arts the weekend of July 16. Admission will be free, and it is a <br />good opportunity to see the facility. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to cone <br />before Council, President BoeYmer adjourned the meeting at 8:46 p.m. <br />~~ <br />Barbara L.
