An <br />ordinance amending Sections 8 and 13 of Ordinance No. 93-19 to amend salary <br />ranges for the Building Commissioner and Chief Building Inspector and add the <br />position of Craft Instructor. Mr. Lind moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings a~ committee review; second by Mrs. Babas; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mrs. Babas noted that this legislation was simply correcting <br />a clerical error and was not an increase in salary. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; <br />second by Mrs. Babas; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 93-68 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 93-69 was introduced by Mayor Boyle on behalf of himself and the <br />entire Council. A resolution supporting Try Transit Week 93. Mrs. Babas moved <br />for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Mr. Lind; motion passed. unanimwusly. Mrs. Babas moved for adoption; second by <br />Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 93-69 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 93-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />one (1) vacutan street sweeper, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 93-71 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />one (1) integral tractor-loader-backhoe wheel type, and declaring an urgency. <br />Ordinance No. 93-72 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $400,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, for tl~ purpose of acquiring real estate and paying <br />costs of constructing afire station thereon. <br />Miscellaneous Business <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting for 7:30 p.m. on <br />Monday, May 17, and requested Service Director Boh]marm attend. <br />Mr. Lind scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7:45 p.m. an Monday, May 17, <br />and requested Finance Director Burns and Service Director Bohlmarm attend. <br />Mr. Leonard moved to excuse the absence of Mr. McKay; second by Mrs. Babas; <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Bohlmann said Mr. McKay was recovering well from surgery, and everyone hopes <br />he will be back quickly. <br />Mr. Boehmer announced a special Council meeting for 7 p.m. on May 17. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come <br />before Council, President BoehEner adjourned the meeting at 10 p.m. <br />~' <br />~ ~ James D. r, Presi ent of Council <br />13 <br />,. <br />
