Council Minutes of 5/5/93 <br />a. Ordinance. 93-50 which provides for engineering services for the improvements <br />at the Recreation Center, North Olmsted Park and Claque Park. After some <br />discussion, the committee recanmended approval. Two long-term projects being <br />considered for the Rec Center: a roof replacement with a spray-cam material at a <br />cost of approximately $90,00; renovating door o~nings, building access and rest <br />rooms to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. <br />b. Ordinance 93-51 c~ich is an ordinance providing for ~gi~ering services <br />pertai:ni.ng to plans for drams and grading of the Smith Barton Roan area. The <br />engineering estimate is apprt~ximstely $450,00; $15,000 was spent for engir~erng <br />in 1992. The conmittee recozrmexided approval. <br />c. Ordinance 93-52 which is a transfer ordinance to cover the cast of overtime <br />and salt required during the past winter. The committee recommended approval. <br />d. Ordinance 93-54 authorizes the Service Director to advertise for bids for <br />3,000 tons of salt. The committee recommended approval. <br />e. Ordinance 93-55 authorizes the agreement with Walter H. Drape Company to <br />provide professional services in updating the Codified Ordinances. <br />f. Ordinance 93-57 is a $245,000 note ordinance and companion to Ordinance <br />93-50. Included in the $245,000 is $200,000 for. the Rec Center parking lot, <br />which will replace existing light poles. The underground wiring will be dorms by <br />the city and the poles and lights will be installed by CEI. The committee <br />recommended approval. <br />g. Ordinance 93-58 is a mote ordinance to acquire the financing for South Barton <br />Road. The committee reccxnmez~ded approval. <br />h. Ordinance 93-59 is a note ordinance for funding for Deerfield Phase I street <br />repair; $500,000 will be for slab repair and $420,000 will be for completion of <br />Maria and Rosita. The ecxruni:ttee recommended approval. <br />i. Ordinance 93-60 is a note ordinance for $55,000 for the renovation and <br />rehabilitation of Town Hall. The committee recommended approval. <br />Mrs. Bahas, Chairperson of the Intro-Governmental, Legislative and Lang-Range <br />Planning Committee, reported: 1) The Blue Ribbon Committee and Council are <br />attempting to arrange a mutually agreeable date to meet so that the committee can <br />present their rec~nendation. She will contact Mr. Tasse to arrange a date. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Streets & Drainage Commvttee, reported: 1) The <br />committee met jointly with the Finance Committee on April 26. In attendance were <br />Council Members Sari.nger, Musial, Leonard, Lind, Nashar; Finance Director Burns; <br />Service Director Bohlmarm. The following agenda items were discussed: <br />a. Ordinance 93-51 which pertains to repairs of South Barton Road. The repairs <br />will eliminate a long-standing flooding problem on this street.
