Mr. Gareau explaffied that the legislation would establish a zoning clasas&cation
within the Zoning Code. The Senior Residence District zoning will be imposed upon the
St. Clarence property and the property being purchased by Mr. Coury.
Mr. Limpert asked why the Senior Residence District zoning restricted buildings to four
stories. Mr. Gareau answered that the decision to restrict buildings to four stories was
made to be consistent within the Zoning Code. He does agree that at some future time
there could be a need for a change. However, the city can support only so much senior
housing and the four-story restriction does not imnpose a hardship at present.
President Boehmer adjourned the public hearing at 7:10 p.m
i '"~ c
,~ y yyLa-z- 6 1 `~ E~
L.
