MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />©~' THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMIBIER 6,1994 <br />Present: Council Presut~t Boehmer, Council Members Limpert, Lind, McKay, <br />Musial, Nashar, Beringer <br />Also Present: Mayor Ed Boyle, Law Director Michael Careau, Finance Director <br />James Burns, Clerk of Council Barbara Semen <br />Absent: Council Member Bahas <br />Council President Boehmer card the meeting to order at 8:OS p.m in Council Cha~aers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Ohneted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the meeting of August 16, 1994 were approved as written. <br />Mr. Boehmer announcat that Ordinances 94-121 and 94125 and Resolution 94-123 <br />would be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />$~ <br />Mayor Boyle reported: 1) The Blood Mobile has conducted several successful blood <br />drives in the city this sunmtuer. Percentage wise, North Olm~ed has the best response of <br />young adults of any area iu the county. <br />2) The cost of the contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Heahh will increase by <br />approximately 10% this year. On the average, this is not a large increase and it is the first <br />in several years. The Board of Health has informed the city that last year 10,369 pule <br />were irrrmuuized again iu~enza. The immunization program will again be held from <br />October through December of this year and is geared to people with chronic iffiesses and <br />seniors S 9 years of age and older. <br />3) Along with Law Director Gueau, the Mayor met with attorneys Dan Kolick and Tom <br />Kondzer about their representation of the City of North Olmsted and the North Ohed <br />School District in matters concerning real and property taxes. The city will have to <br />discontinue this service for the remainder of the year because the cost has exceeded the <br />appropriated amount. The school sugerffitendent has been informed of this decon; <br />however, this wilt not necessarily discontinue the program sauce the school board can <br />continue at 100% of the cost. In talking with Kolick &. Koudzer about this issue, it was <br />determined that in the myority of commam~ties where this type of service is utilized, the <br />bill is paid at 100% by the school board.
