MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. <br />OE THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JULY 5,1994 <br />Present: Council President BoeJimer, Council Members Bahas, Limpert, Lind, <br />McKay, Musial, Nashar, Beringer <br />Also Present: Mayor Ed Boyle, Law Dire~or Michael Gareau, Finance Director <br />James Burns, Acting Clerk of Council Kim McFarland <br />Council President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 21, 1994 were approved as written; the minutes of the <br />special meeting of June 22, 1994 were approved as written. <br />President Boehmer announced that Ordinance 94-107 would be added to the agenda and <br />Ordinance 94-96 would be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />President Boehmer announced that special Council meetings would be held on July 6 at 8 <br />p.m and on July 7 at 8 p.m <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Boyle reported: 1) Along with the Law Director, met with the attorneys for <br />Biddulph Inc., the owner of Springvale Golf Course. Hopefiilly, a more acceptrible <br />contract and an amended timetable wig soon be presented to Council. The A ' ' anon <br />is currently investigating municipally ownedgolf courses to learn of their experiences. <br />2) The city and the school system, along with the law film of Kondzer and Kolick, have <br />been working on an update of the property tax situation. <br />3) The Fourth of July celebration was a success. This celebration has shown a very good <br />growth, and it seems to be part of the community tradition. <br />4) Mrs. Tina Hlavaty, the Senior Center Administrator, has resigned to pursue other <br />endeavors. She has done a good job there, and she will be missed. <br />5) A$er Mrs. IIlavaty leaves the Senior Center, the Mayor and Mr. Wilamosky will <br />consider redesigning the Sentt~r Cuter and Human Resources Department. <br />6) There seems to be a mis~mder~anding with regard to Ordinance 94-98, an ordinance <br />which would allow alcoholic beverages to be sold and/or consumed on various city <br />properties. The Clevel~d Federation of Labor schedu~d their Labor Day Parade and <br />Picnic on September 3 for North Olmsted because it was believed that beer could be sold <br /> <br />
