A replacement will be named in the near future.
2) State Senate Bill 19, the enterprise zone legislation, has been passed. The legislation is
being researched to determ~-e the provisions that will affect the city. However, it appears
that it will also affect the community reinvestment area, which would al£ect the
abatements given to homeowners who do home irr~rovements. Other probable provisions
are: sharing of taxes with schools, which North Olmsted already does; a reduction in the
maximum abatement from 104% to 75% in an incorporated area; a reduction in abatement
from 75% to 60% in an unincorporated area; abatement obstacles for infra-.state
businesses, especially from one distressed area to another. We are seeking clarification on
this legislation and will work with the county and Squire, Sanders and Dempsey to
determine the effects on North Olmsted.
3) The Cuyahoga County District Board of Health, Division of Nursing and
Environmental Division has issued its 1993 report.
