Ordinance 95-156, which authorizes an engineering services contract for repairs and <br />replacement of Summerland Avenue and Virginia Avenue. Polytech, which is a minority <br />business enterprise, was the low bidder at 526,916. The comrreittee recommended <br />approval. <br />e. Resolution 95-152, which directs the County Auditor to pay to the city, dw~ng 1996, <br />all money due and owing the city from all collection sources. The committee <br />recommended approval <br />f. Ordinance 95-153, which authorises the city to deal with various banks within the city. <br />The committee recommended approval <br />g. Ordinance 95-154, is required to receive all tax monies based on the tax budget <br />previously passed by Council. The conm~tee recommended approval. This legislation <br />was passed at the Council meeting of November 21. <br />2. The second Finance Committee meeting took place on .December 5 prior to the <br />Council meeting. Present were committee members Lmd, Musial, McKay; Council <br />Members Limpert, Nashar, Miller; Service Director Bohhnann; Finance Director Bums; <br />Safety Director Kesler; Personnel Director W>7amosky. The following items were <br />discussed: <br />a. Ordinance 95-159, which is the te~orary appropriation for the first quarter of 1996. <br />It was decided to increase the ho~italisation fiord appropriation for the first quarter by <br />$200,000 to cover anticipated carryover of 1995 expenses. The commttee recommended <br />approval of the legislation as amended. <br />b. Ordinance 95-160, which changes the rate of compensation for various ad~is~trative <br />and legislative personnel Since Council previously passed legislation setting the salary <br />structure for the next three years, this legislation wdl be tabled. <br />c. Resohrtion 95-161, which adopts the financial statement balances as of December 3 1, <br />1992. This legislation will require more discussion and will be on the agenda for the <br />committee meeting of Monday, December 11. <br />Mr. Miller commented on the beautifiilly decorated Christmas tree m the lobby and asked <br />that the Mayor relay Council's thanks to the Deerfield Homeowners Association. Also, <br />thanks go to Cub Scout Pack 52 for the tree in Council Chambers. <br />Mr. Limpert asked the Mayor when the flood abatement program comprehensive plan <br />would be available for Council's consideration. Mayor Boyle commented that the <br />administration had hoped to have it ready by the end. of November, but it was held up by a <br />couple of issues: receipt of the Issue 2 report and finalization of a cooperative agreement <br />with Fairview Park. The Isere 2 report was just received, and a preary meeting with <br />Fairview has been held. Hopefully, the conr~rehensive plan will be available by Christmas. <br /> <br />5 <br />
