Mayor Boyle <br />said that the "game" in the private sector was to earn money; in the public sector, it is to <br />provide service. There are certaht .service ftaactions that can be succe pries; he <br />does not believe the safety forces are included in that group. He wants to take the safety <br />forces out of the profit motive. <br />Mary Solderitsch, a resident of Allendahe Drive, asked about the progress of the sewer <br />project for her area. Mayor Boyle explained that the comprehensive report, which would <br />include the Allendale area, had been held up because of the Issue 2 report and the <br />continuing negotiations with Fairview Park. The report shouted be compietecl by <br />Christmas. Mr. Bohlmann said that the De(iroot report for the Betk~ire area was <br />another reason for the delay. He will be meeting with that group on December 12. He <br />could have issued a short two-page report two months ago, but he fe,It it wouhl be better <br />to wait until he could issue a comQlete, ccntcise report which would enco~rass all the <br />pertinent factors. As previously stated, his recomm~tdation for the Al~s~tdale area is to <br />put in a separate refief sewer running directly into the valley. Mr. B asked <br />Council for a bit more patience because all the flooding and sewer projects wt~l be part of <br />the appropriation process which wifi scan begin. In answer to Mrs. Solderitseh's question <br />of timing, Mr. Bahhmann said the legislative and bidding processes will take place during <br />the winter months so the project can begin: why the conduction season starts. (~ course, <br />everything depends on the fimdmg being in place. Mrs. Solderitsch asked Mr. McKay to <br />check into the discrepancy about the spelling of Allendale and the designation of street or <br />drive. She said that the plat book lists the greet as AhLatdale -Lane, and the erect <br />reads Allendale Drive. Mr. McIZay and Mr. Bohhmann said that they had discussed that <br />matter previously, and Mr. Bohhmann wt71 look into it again to determine the correct <br />designation. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 95-152 introduced by Mr. Lmd was given its third reading. A resohrton <br />directing the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, <br />during the year 1996, all money due and owing said city from any collection source. Mr. <br />Lmd moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resohttion <br />No. 95-152 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-153 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />authorizing the Mayor to utter unto contracts for the deposit of public monies with the <br />institutions designated by Council as depositories for the active and interim account of the <br />city. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 9S-1S3 adapted. <br />S <br />
