Possilrle changes being considered would link North Ohed
with other area suburbs. However, it appears that RTA plans to operate this route with
their drivers instead of NOMBL drivers. It would be cost effective for NOMBL to
operate this route and it would also help to improve our peak to base ratio, something that
the bus line has been trying to do. Attempts to contact RTA managem~t have not been
successfiil, so the Mayor has contacted members of the GCRTA board in hopes of coming
to some resolution of this matter.
2) Mayor White has announced that the Cleveland Water Department will raise its rates by
approximately 7.3% effective the beginning of 1996. This notification firms the 60 day
notice requirement in our contract. The rate hike breaks down in this manner: 4% for
inflation, 1.2% for declining consumption and 2.1% for capital improvements.
3) Telephone solicitors supposedly representing the city D.A.RE. program are attempting
to sell coupon books. The city is ~ involved with this group. Resiciea~ts receiving phone
calls should try to ascertain a name and then report it to the Safety Director.
