Council Minutes of 11/8/95 <br />~.SCE~,ous svsnv~ss <br />Mrs. Beringer asked Mr. bind for more details on Ordinance 95-145 regarding the <br />engineering services for the retention project at Claque Park. She would like to allow the <br />residents in that area the opportuy to hear the details of the project. Mr. Litui said that <br />the Finance Committee had not discussed it in great detail becauee the agr for the <br />engineering services was not available at the time. Mr. McKay stated that comm~tee <br />meetings are an open forum and the residents are welcome to attend. Mr. B said <br />that the details are not available at this time--that is what the eng~eering services will <br />provide. He said that an unc~rground tank holding three to four hundred tl-ousand <br />would be installed. There would be a washout system metalled to co~rol odors. Specific <br />details with regard to exact locations will not be available until the engineer~g services are <br />completed. As to Mrs. Sariiiger que~ion concerning. any negative effects, Mr. B <br />said that the city was not aware of any negatives-eveiythhig is of a positive effect. <br />Mr. McKay congratulated the successfiil candidates in Tuesday's election. On behalf of <br />Councilman-elect O'Grady, he thanked everyone who had contrmuted to his election. Mr. <br />O'Grady is looking forward to working with the members of Council. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Legislative/Counci~asa-Whole Committee meeting for 7 p.m on <br />Monday, November 13, to discuss the proposals submitted by the Charter Review <br />Commission. <br />Mr. McKay moved that Council adjourn into executive session to discuss the sale of <br />property. <br />Mr. Limpert notified Council that he would be absent for the meeting of November 21 due <br />to a family commitment out of town. <br />Mayor Boyle thanked all the City Council and School Board candidates for partiapatiiig in <br />the democratic process. Mr. Limpert asked for a round of applause for all the candidates. <br />Mr. Miller added his congratulations to the winners and thanked everyone who supported <br />his candidacy. He encouraged all those who won to keep their cai~aign promises and <br />those who did not win to stay active in the community. He feels all the candidates ran <br />clean campaigns, and he was proud to be a part of the process. Mrs. Sariiiger thanked Mr. <br />Miller for waging a good cai~raign and urged him to remain active. She has enjoyed <br />working with him and appreciated his contributions to the BZD Committee. <br />Mr. Lmd scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 8 p.m following the <br />Legislative/Council-as-a-Whale meeting. Mrs. Beringer is welcome to invite the residents <br />who are concerned about the retention project at Claque Park. <br /> <br />8 <br />
