L <br />1~ZaVUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 5,1995 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Limpert, McKay, Miller <br />Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Boyle (arrived at 8:34 p.m), Law Director Gareau, Finance <br />Director Burns, Clerk of Council Semen <br />Absent: Council Members Lmd, Musial and Saringer <br />Council President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8:01 p.m in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience joined Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the meeting of August 15, 1995 were approved as written. <br />President Boehmer announced that Resolution No. 95-124 would be removed from the <br />agenda. <br />REPORTS <br />Law Director Gareau: 1) After seven years, the Eliza Jennings case is over. A check for <br />$126,000 was delivered to City Hall last week. <br />2) Today a case managet G~ference was held with regard to the Fattlar lawsuit, but <br />little progress was made. Initially, the insurance company refi~sed to get involved in this <br />case because it dealt with back wages; however, the insurance counsel is now involved. <br />The Law Director has informed insurance counsel that he will take an active intere~ in the <br />case and will file a motion for summary judgment. <br />3) A meeting with regard to the cable TV franchise agreement will be held tomorrow. <br />Finance Director Burns: 1) A public hearing was held this evening with regard to <br />Resolution No. 95-110, the 1996 budget. This legislation must be passed by <br />September 15 and submitted to the County Auditor by September 20. <br />2) On this evening's agenda is Ordinance 95-123 which establishes a "COPS FAST" Fund <br />for the city. This fund is required by the State Auditor's office to handle the monies from <br />federal and state grants under the "COPS FAST" program <br /> <br />
