MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE C1TY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 6,1995 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Limpert, McKay, Miller, <br />Nashar, Saringer <br />Also Present: Mayor Boyle, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Burns, Clerk of <br />Council Semen <br />Absent: Council Members Lmd and Musial <br />Council President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the meeting of May 16, 1995 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special meeting of May 30, 1995 were approved as written. <br />President Boehmer made the following announcements: Ordinance Nos. 95-69 through <br />95-84, 95-87 and 95-89 would be passed under suspension of the rules; Ordinance <br />No. 95-55 would be removed from the agenda. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Boyle: 1) Along with Service Director Bohlmann and City Engineer Deichmann, <br />the Mayor met with Mr. Groden of the Ohio Department of Transportation to discuss the <br />Stearns Road problem. Mr. Groden apologized for the confusion that occurred when his <br />office failed to notify the city of options while notifying Congressman Hoke and some <br />members of Council. Mr. Grroden was very detailed and extremely helpful in his attempt <br />to correct the situation to the satisfaction of our residents. His suggestions, which <br />included assistance for residents on existing Steams Road and the Forest Elementary <br />School, will go a long way in abating the problem Mayor Boyle thanked Mr. Groden and <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation for recognizing the problem and making every <br />attempt to rectify the situation. <br />2) A problem with the outdoor pool at the Recreation Center has been discovered. The <br />pool will have to be professionally sandblasted to remove the old paint which is chipping <br />and then repainted.
