Council Minutes of 6/6/95 <br />Resolution No. 95-87 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on behalf <br />~~~~ of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution supporting the worldwide commemoration <br />of the Day of the African Child on June 16, 1995, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Nasliar; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />motion passed unaniomously. Resolution No. 95-87 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-88 was introduced. and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance establishing health care benefits for full-time non-bargaining employees of the <br />City of North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 95-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance amending Ordinances No. 95-64, No. 95-65, No. 95-66, No. 95-69, No. 95-70, <br />No. 95-71, No. 95-72, No. 95-73, No. 95-74, No. 95-75, No. 95-76, No. 95-77, <br />No. 95-78, No. 95-79, No. 95-80, No. 95-81, No. 95-82, No. 95-83, and No. 95-84, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings; second by Mr. Limpert. Mr. Limpert, Finance Director Bums and Mayor <br />Boyle discussed the fact that this amendment to Ordinance Nos. 95-69 through 95-84 <br />would allow the underwriter time flexibility in selling the issues, which would help secure <br />the best possible interest rate. Roll call on motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings: McKay, yes; Limpert, yes; Miller, yes; Beringer, yes; Nashar, yes. The motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-89 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Beringer moved to excuse the absence of Councilman Lmd and Councilman Musial; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Miller scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee meeting for <br />Tuesday, June 20, at 7 p.m. The agenda will include updates on Springvale and the <br />Recreation Department. Finance Director Burns and Recreation Commissioner Dolansky <br />are asked to attend. <br />President Boehmer announced that the July 4 meeting will be rescheduled to Wednesday, <br />July 5. Also, Council will take its annual vacation the last two weeks of July and the first <br />two weeks of August. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Boehmer adjourned the meeting at 8:50 p.m. <br />-, <br />--~ <br />,~~ t . ~ <br />i <br />( Barbara L.
