Council Minutes of 6/6/95 <br />Ordinance No. 95-81 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $100,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of improving the city administration complex by renovating, <br />remodeling, rehabilitating and otherwise improving the Town Hall therein and <br />constructing a canopy to cover the fuel pump island on the site thereof, together with <br />necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-81 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-82 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $90,000 notes, m anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of acquiring motor vehicles, including four pickup trucks and three <br />automobiles, for use in carrying out city services and functions, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-82 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-83 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $55,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of renovating, rehabilitating and otherwise improving Town Hall, <br />together with the necessary appurtenances thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Miller; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Miller; <br />motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-83 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-84 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $50,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of inr~roving City Hall by converting an existing storage area into a <br />conference room and offices and acquiring furnishings and equipment therefor, together <br />with the necessary appurtenances thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-84 adopted. <br />Mr. Nashar asked Finance Director Burns for an estimate of the interest rate on these <br />issues. Mr. Bums replied that, estimating a 4 1/2% interest rate, he anticipates the interest <br />cost next year to be approximately $1,500,000, depending on the period of time of the <br />issues. <br />No. 95-86 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the collection of all <br />solid waste and recycling in the City of North Olmsted, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />7 <br /> <br />
