Council Minutes of 5/3/95 <br />.~~ Susan Walker, 5653 Dorothy Drive, also spoke about the unkempt property on the street. <br />She asked when the legislation would be taken out of committee. Mr. Nashar said that he <br />would ask that the legislation be given its second readmg at the next meeting of Council, <br />which is a special meeting. Mrs. Saringer commented that the BZD Committee would <br />discuss the legislation at its meeting on May 10. If a majority of the committee votes to <br />take it out of committee, it will be presented to Council for action. <br />Ida Juhasz, 4881 Porter Road, is being plagued by ground hogs because of the <br />construction at Water Tower Square. She cannot afford the money to purchase traps. <br />The animal warden will be asked to look into the problem for Mrs. Juhasz. <br />Terry Rooney, 4140 Root Road, thanked Carl Kessler for presenting the petition with <br />regard to dedicating the new fire station to Chief Ray Bement. Mr. Rooney, a former <br />Rocky River firefighter, would like to see Chief Bement remembered in this special way. <br />Gemma Szabo, 30837 Bradley Road, asked Mayor Boyle to reinstate the van service so <br />that the seniors could attend the recognition hmcheon on Friday. Mayor Boyle asked Mrs. <br />Szabo to call him in the morning and he would be able to tell her if the service will be <br />available on Friday. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 95-11 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise and accept bids for the <br />improvement of Alexander Road as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lmd moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 95-I1 <br />adopted. <br />Resohrtion No. 95-12 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise and accept bids for the <br />improvement of Park Lane as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 95-12 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 95-13 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise and accept bids for the <br />improvement of Douglas Drive, Alden Drive and Willet Road as detailed in the <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. Musial; motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 95-13 adopted. <br />6 <br />
