Special Council Minutes of 12/23/96 <br />recommended approval. Mr. Lind moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings; <br />second by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-193 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-194 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />the installation of a stop sign on Jacqueline Lane where the same intersects with Barton <br />Road, thereby regulating traffic entering Barton Road, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />O'Grady made a motion that Council permit Mr. Limpert to report on the Safety <br />Committee meeting regarding Ordinance No. 96-194; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Limpert, member of the Safety Committee, reported on behalf of <br />Chairperson Nashar: The committee met this evening at approximately 6:30 p.m. Present <br />were committee members O'Grady and Limpert; Council Members Lind and Musial. The <br />need for the stop sign was discussed, and the committee recommended approval of the <br />legislation under suspension of the rule for safety reasons. Mr. O'Grady moved for <br />suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-194 adopted. <br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mrs. Saringer and Mr. Nashar; second by Mr. <br />Lind; motion passed unanimously. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Boehmer adjourned the meeting at 8:07 p.m. <br />,,% ' • ".~ <br />{ Barbara L.
