Council Minutes of 9/3/96 <br />Resolution No. 96-144 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for a supervisory <br />control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the WWTP and for the sanitary sewer <br />system as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for <br />the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-146 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance accepting a traffic control equipment easement located on property owned by <br />North Olmsted Associates and designated as Permanent Parcel No. 234-3-3, 11, 12 by <br />Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, said easement shown on Exhibit "B" and <br />authorizing the payment to North Olmsted Associates of $908.00 for said easement and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-148 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to <br />enter into an agreement with Adache-Ciuni-Lynn Associates, Inc. to provide engineering <br />services for the design of drainage improvements for the Brookpark to Mastick storm <br />relief sewer, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-150 introduced by Mr. Lind on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 95-111 entitled <br />"An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various positions to staff North <br />Olmsted Springvale Golf Course and establish a schedule of benefits and compensation to <br />be paid to members of that staff, and declaring an emergency, as amended," and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings. Mr. <br />Lind noted that the ordinance had been discussed and recommended by committee. <br />Second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-150 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 96-153 introduced by Mr. Lind on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />second reading. A resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 1997, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-154 introduced by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance adopting a new part nineteen to the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio entitled "Fair Housing Code" providing for a fair housing <br />policy consistent with the goals of 42 U.S.C. Section 1981 (Civil Rights Act) and 42 <br />U.S.C. Section 3601 (Fair Housing Act) and Ohio Rev. Code Ann. Section 4112.02 (H) <br />(Fair Housing Act) prohibiting discrimination in all aspects of the sale, rental, and <br />occupancy of dwellings in the City of North Olmsted on the basis of race, color, religion, <br />sex ancestry, familial status, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or handicap. <br />sue. <br />8 <br /> <br />
