<br />Special Council Minutes of 5/9/96 <br />~,,. readings; second by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. Ordmance No. 96-82 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-83 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $345,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and installing computer equipment, <br />including networking hardware and software, personal computer work stations, printers, <br />software and cables, together with the necessary appurtenances thereto, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. Lind moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second <br />by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Musial; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-83 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-84 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $250,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's storm water drainage system by <br />rehabilitating and improving an existing storm water culvert located under South Barton <br />Road approximately 1,700 feet south of Lorain Road, related underground storm water <br />retention basins and related open storm water drainage ditches and acquiring interests in <br />real estate therefor, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental <br />thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind <br />moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. <br />96-84 adopted. <br />Mr. Nashar asked the Finance Director for the total amount of the rollover notes. Mr. <br />Burns replied the total was $35,310,000. <br />Mr. Limpert commented that he was disappointed because he had understood that by this <br />time of the year the city would be going to bond instead of rolling over the notes. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked that Recreation Commissioner Dolansky be invited to attend the <br />Finance Committee meeting to discuss Ordinance 96-64. <br />Mr. Bohlmann commented that he would ask the traffic engineer to attend the Finance <br />Committee meeting to discuss Ordinance 96-63. <br />With the agenda being completed, President Boehmer adjourned the special meeting at <br />7:11 p.m. <br />~'~ \...( ~,r <br />~arbara L.
