Special Council Minutes of 5/8/96 <br />~_ Ordinance No. 96-56 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administration and legislative <br />personnel and declaring an emergency as amended. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. O'Grady. Roll call: Lind, yes; O'Grady, yes; Nashar, yes; McKay, no; Musial, <br />yes; Saringer, yes; Limpert, yes. Motion passed with six affirmative votes and one <br />negative vote. Ordinance No. 96-56 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 96-58 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the improvements to <br />the Broxbourne Lift Station and Force Main as detailed in the specifications on file and <br />authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Nashar <br />moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 96-58 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-62 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the purchase of three <br />(3), six passenger, four door sedan automobiles to be used by the Mayor, Safety Director <br />and Service Director. <br />Ordinance No. 96-63 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a contract <br />with Perram Electric Inc., for additional improvements to the closed loop traffic signal <br />system, without public bidding, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-64 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the compensation to be paid to all part-time Parks and Recreation <br />Department personnel and repealing Ordinance No. 86-50, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-65 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $3,975,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's sanitary sewerage system and its functions <br />by constructing and reconstructing sanitary sewers and pumping and retention facilities <br />and by constructing and reconstructing storm sewers and other storm water drainage <br />facilities and improvements to control and limit the vohune of storm water entering or <br />otherwise affecting the sanitary sewerage system, together in all cases with any necessary <br />appurtenances and the performance of any incidental work. <br />Ordinance No. 96-66 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $2,470,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated streets in the city's street system <br />by grading, draining, reconstructing the pavement base, widening, constructing, <br />reconstructing and rehabilitating berms, catch basins, curbs, driveway aprons, sanitary <br />sewers and sanitary sewer service connections, sidewalks, storm sewers and water mains <br />`~"" and water service connections, installing street lighting and preparing the surface and <br />2 <br /> <br />
