Council Minutes of 5/7/96 <br />Ordinance No. 96-69 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lmd. An <br /><,._ <br />,~,, ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and equipping an emergency rescue vehicle <br />for use in carrying out functions of the Division of Fire of the Department of Public <br />Safety. <br />Ordinance No. 96-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $100,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and instalfiag computerized <br />telecommunications equipment for use at city facilities. <br />Ordinance No. 96-71 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $30,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and installing signals, signs and other <br />equipment and devices to direct and control the flow of vehicular and pedestrian tra$'ic, <br />where necessary, together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 96-72 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance requesting and consenting to a highway striping project in 1996 by the County <br />Engineer of Cuyhoga County. <br />Resolution No. 96-85 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar on behalf <br />of Mayor Boyle and the entire Council. A resohrtion requesting and authorizing the <br />Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation to make a determination regarding the <br />safe and reasonable speed limit for I-480 through the City of North Olmsted and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. Nashar moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; <br />second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Nashar moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. McKay. The motion failed unanimously. The resolution is not adapted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-86 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance extending the existing Cablevision of the Midwest, Inc. franchise agreement <br />with the City of North Olmsted for a period from May 15, 1996 until August 1, 1996 and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-86 <br />adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. McKay moved to adjourn into executive session to discuss the sale of the old fire <br />station property; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. <br />Council adjourned into executive session at 9:30 p.m. <br />'"' Council reconvened at 9:45 p.m. <br />10 <br /> <br />
