Council Minutes of 3/20/96 <br />Ordinance No. 96-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />- ordinance granting to Ameritech New Media Inc. of anon-exclusive franchise, granting it <br />the right to construct, operate, and maintain a cable system for the purpose of <br />transmitting, receiving, amplifying and distributing analog and digital, television, radio, <br />data signals and for any other purpose permitted by law by the City of North Olmsted .for <br />a fifteen (15) year period. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Monday, <br />March 25. <br />Mrs. Saringer scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee meeting for <br />7 p.m, on Thursday, March 28. Service Director Bohlmann, City Engineer Deichmann, <br />Safety Director Kasler and Recreation Commissioner Dolansky are asked to attend. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Intra-Governmental Relations, Legislation and Long-Range <br />Planning Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Apri123. <br />Mr. Lind scheduled a Finance Committee meeting immediately following the Streets & <br />Drainage Committee on Monday, March 25. Mayor Boyle and Finance Director Burns <br />are asked to attend. <br />Finance Director Burns reminded the Finance Committee that they need to begin <br />discussions regarding the capital improvements to be included in the note issue since the <br />legislation has athree-reading, thirty-day requirement. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved to excuse the absence of Council President Boehmer; second by Mr. <br />Lind; motion passed unanimously. <br />As a supplement to his report, Law Director Gareau commented that he, Service Director <br />Bohlmann and City Engineer Deichmann are currently negotiating with homeowners on <br />Mill and Porter Roads to acquire property for the widening project. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Pro Tem Musial adjourned the meeting at 9:05 p.m. <br />Barbara L.
