Council Minutes of 3/5/96 <br />Ordinance No. 96-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lmd. An <br />~~ ordinance to amend Section 943.02 entitled "Headstones, Monuments and Markers," <br />"'"`' Section 943.06 entitled "Individual Grave Price" and Section 943.07 entitled "Rates for <br />Opening and Closing Graves" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio. <br />Ordinance No. 96-47 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance extending the existing Cablevision of the Midwest, Inc. franchise agreement <br />with the City of North Olmsted for a period from February 15, 1996 until April 15, 1996, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mayor Boyle commented that several residents have <br />expressed their concerns to him about changes made to religious stations by Cablevision. <br />All religious programming has been put into one station. EWTN has been given the <br />inconvenient timeslot of midnight to 6 a.m. The Mayor said he recommended extending <br />the contract at this point, but we will bring this issue up in negotiations. Mrs. Saringer <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-47 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-48 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle on <br />behalf of himself, Mr. Limpert and Mr. Nashar. An ordinance adopting a new <br />Chapter 761 of the Business Regulation Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled <br />"Adult Entertainment Businesses," and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled aSafety/Committee-as-a-Whole meeting for 7 p.m. on Monday, <br />March 11, to discuss Ordinance 96-48. Council will receive copies of the nine secondary <br />impact studies so that they can be discussed with regard to this ordinance. The meeting <br />will be taped and minutes will be taken. <br />Mr. Lind and Mr. McKay scheduled aFinance/Environmental Control Committee meeting <br />for Monday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. <br />A special Council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, to pass Ordinance <br />No. 96-48 as amended and to introduce the appropriations legislation. <br />The Long-Range Planning Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, to <br />discuss financial planning. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, the meeting of March 5, 1996 was adjourned at 9:37 p.m. <br />~ n <br />_-~ :. <br />~~,~ ~ ~~- <br />j Barbara L.
