The graduation at St. Richard's School took place this evening. The program
has been extremely successful, and it is very rewarding to see how the children respond to
the program and Officer Adamson.
2) On January 15, North Olmsted hosted approximately 80 DARE officers at a regional
conference held at Springvale. Officer Adamson, Chief Viola and Safety Director Kesler
attended and answered questions about our city's successful program. We are attempting
to promote more community involvement with DARE. Two city restaurants, Olive
Garden and Baker's Square, donated refreshments for the meeting. A cooperative golf
outing with Westlake to benefit the DARE program is being considered for later this year.
3) Work on the appropriations is continuing. The administration is looking at two-year
projections for capital expenditures which will be presented and discussed with the
appropriations.
4) The annual NOSO Cup tournament does not have a sponsor this year. The cost is
approximately $10,000. The administration will be contacting possible sponsors and
suggestions are welcome.
~:
,~
,:x,~ _ ,,_~_.~
