. ` ,;,,~ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. ~~,,~~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JANUARY 2,1996 Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Liinpert, Lmd, McKay, Musial, O'Grady, Nashar, Saringer Also Present: Mayor Boyle, Law Director Gateau (arrived at 8:30 p.m.), Finance Director Burns, Clerk of Council Seman Council President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8:01 p.m in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The minutes of the meeting of December 5, 1995 were approved as written. The minutes of the special meeting of December 27, 1995 were approved as written. Mr. Musial asked Mr. Burns to clarify whether Resolution No. 95-161 (passed at the special meeting of December 27, 1995) was to have been passed before the end of the year or was to have been introduced before the end of the year. Mr. Burns said that the agreement with the State Auditor's office was that the legislation be introduced prior to the end of the year and passed as soon as possible. Mayor Boyle said that, in his discussion with State Auditor Petro, they had agreed the Legislation would be introduced, read three times and then passed prior to the end of the year. Because of the cancellation of the regular Council meeting of December 19, 1995 due to inclement weather, the legislation was passed on its third reading at the special meeting of December 27, 1995. Continuing with the meeting, President Boehmer welcomed Councilman O'Grady and wished him the best of luck as he begins his tenure on Council. REPORTS Mayor Boyle: 1) The report on the master plan for sewer rehab will be available this month--there are a few refinements that must be made. The plan. has been delayed because of fiindmg sources and proper planning; namely, the report of eligible Issue 2 projects and the finalization of the future bonding plan. Finance Director Bums: 1) It will be the policy of the Regional Income Tax Agency and North Olmsted that the newly created entity of a limited liability company will be taxed for city income tax purposes based on the way they are taxed for federal income tax purposes. ,~_ -.~Y ..,.~
