Council Minutes of 12/16/97 <br />-~ Ordinance No. 97-120 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />`~~= ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted by <br />changing the hereinafter described parcels of real property located south of Brookpark <br />Road, north of Country Club Boulevard, and west of Columbia Road, from Mixed Use <br />district to Multiple Residence (Apartment) District. <br />Ordinance No. 97-121 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on <br />behalf of Mr. Nashar, Mr. Musial and himself. An ordinance amending the Zoning Code <br />of the City of North Olmsted by amending the following chapters to have included therein <br />the specific permitted uses established in Chapter 1138 entitled Senior Residence District: <br />Chapter 1135 One and Two Family Residence District, Chapter 1137 entitled Multiple <br />Residence (Apartment) District and Chapter 1139 entitled Business Districts. <br />Ordinance No. 97-122 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Musial. An <br />ordinance creating new Chapter 133 of the Administrative Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "Interim Director Appointments," and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />Musial moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; <br />second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Musial moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-122 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-123 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Law to retain the services of the law firm of Walter <br />'~`° & Haverfield to provide Legal services for the preparation of wireless telecommunication <br />~'°~ facility regulations, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 97-124 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance creating an administrative fee of $50 for the parent/guardian of a juvenile who <br />violates the program guidelines for the Youth Development Program's Restitution Project <br />and is consequently charged in Juvenile Court, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by <br />Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-124 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-125 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of real property <br />on the north side of Bradley Road to be used for recreational purposes. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mayor Boyle rescinded his request for an executive session. <br />Retiring Ward II Councilman David Lind made the following statement: "In June of 1991, <br />I applied for a vacancy on the North Olmsted City Council. When I was appointed, I was <br />_ very excited. Like all new political office holders, I was full of youthful naivete. I felt that <br />~,: I could change the world.
