MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCII. <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 2, 1997 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Limpert, Lind, McKay, <br />Musial, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Boyle, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Burns, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Saringer <br />Council President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />Mr. O'Grady asked that the following correction to the minutes of the Council meeting of <br />August 19, 1997 be made: At the top of page 7, the reference to the ordinance regarding <br />Christ the King Church annexation should be Ordinance 97-69. Mr. O'Grady moved to <br />approve the minutes as amended; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. The <br />minutes of the Council meeting of August 19, 1997 were approved as corrected. <br />Mr. McKay moved to amend the agenda to add Ordinance 97-71; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Boyle: 1) Mr. Thomas P. Gallagher has resigned from the Architectural Review <br />Board for business reasons effective September 1. <br />2) County Auditor Russo has opened three satellite offices for the convenience of citizens <br />who wish to review their property valuations. The offices are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. <br />daily and are located at the following locations: 15109 Puritas Avenue; 2337 Broadview <br />Road; 760 E. 185 Street. <br />3) The recent heavy rains did not cause flooding in the city and pumps were not required <br />to be put out. There was one report of a clogged garage drain. <br />4) In 1985, the parcels on Great Northern Boulevard, next to where Moen is now located, <br />were valued at $175,240 and were zoned single-family residential. After the court case <br />and the judgment entry to allow the properties to be used for office space, the valuation on <br />the properties rose to $346,370. The judgment entry was changed to allow Moen to <br />move into the area which had been set aside for hotels. According to the County <br />Auditor's report of 1995, those same properties, still zoned single-family but designated <br />
