Council Minutes of 9/2/97 <br />.. reviewed and the LOMB will be effective in December of 1997. He hopes the changes <br />that will be coming forth by FEMA will allow residents who live in the floodplain area and <br />are affected by paying the high rates for homeowners insurance to see a reduction in their <br />rates. A copy of his letters were sent to Congressman Dennis Kucitich who then helped <br />expedite responses from FEMA. The Congressman's efforts certainly helped open the <br />doors so that additional information was received. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />September 9, to discuss Ordinance 97-44. Service Director Bohlmann is requested to <br />attend. <br />Mr. Lind scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, September 9, immediately <br />following the Streets & Drainage Committee meeting. Finance Director Burns, Safety <br />Director Kasler, P & A Director Wilamosky and, if possible, Mayor Boyle are asked to <br />attend. The Cablevision lease and the economic development fund legislation will be <br />addressed in addition to the new legislation presented this evening. <br />Mr. Musial announced that the BZD Committee meeting originally scheduled for <br />September 15 would be rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. on September 23. The committee will <br />further discuss and finalize action on Ordinance 97-73 and also discuss Ordinance 97-77. <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee meeting for 7 p.m. <br />on Tuesday, September 16. Safety Director Kasler is asked to attend. <br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mrs. Saringer. The motion was seconded by <br />Mr. O'Grady and unanimously passed. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Boehmer adjourned the meeting at 8:47 p.m. <br />Barbara L.
