Council Minutes of 4/1/97 <br />Ordinance No. 97-23 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mr. Musial was given its <br />third reading. An ordinance accepting an easement for the installation and maintenance of <br />a water line for the purpose of supplying water service by the City of Cleveland to land <br />owned by Hennie Homes, Inc. and declaring an emergency. Mr. Musial moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-23 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 97-25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for paint striping <br />at various locations in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file <br />and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-26 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Musial on behalf <br />of himself, Mr. McKay and Mr. Lind. A resolution calling upon the Senate and House of <br />Representatives of the United States of America to support U. S. Rep. Steven C. <br />LaTourette's legislation to repeal the Medicaid criminal penalties provision in the recently <br />enacted Kennedy-Kassebaum Health Care Law. <br />Ordinance No. 97-27 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Musial. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1305 of the Building Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-31 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on behalf <br />of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service <br />to advertise for bids for storm sewer system improvements in the Butternut Ridge Road <br />and Columbia Road area as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor <br />to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension <br />of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. O'Grady. The <br />motion for suspension of the rules was passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 97-31 <br />adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long-Range <br />Planning Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. to discuss Resolution 97-26. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 8, at <br />7:30 p.m. and requested Mr. Bohlmann be present. <br /> <br />7 <br />w. ~...... .t,,~~,...,.. .. ..,._ __ .:. <br />
