The motion was seconded by Mr. McKay and unanimously approved. 2) The BZD Committee reviewed Ordinance No. 97-23 which accepts an easement for the installation and maintenance of a water line for the purpose of supplying water service by the City of Cleveland to land owned by Hennie Homes Inc. The water line is to be extended into their property for the Cinnamon Woods development. The City of Cleveland requires that extension of water lines shall only be approved if easements are granted to the City of Cleveland and North Olmsted so that water mains can be constructed and maintained. The BZD Committee recommended passage of the legislation. Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: 1) The committee met this evening, and in attendance were committee members O'Grady, Limpert and Nashar; Council Members McKay and Musial; Safety Director Kasler. The committee discussed a new liquor permit at 23642 Lorain Road, DBA Laurel's Family Restaurant. The Police Department had no objection to the liquor permit, and the committee recommended approval. Mr. Nashar moved that Council have no objection to the D1 liquor permit for Rania Inc., DBA Laurel's Family Restaurant, 23642 Lorain Road. The motion was seconded by Mr. Limpert and unanimously passed. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Joyce Weber, 5737 Allendale Lane, thanked everyone for their support of the Allendale/Carey project. Mayor Boyle thanked Mrs. Weber for her efforts. She and her neighbors were thanked for being concerned citizens. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 97-21 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to make emergency repairs on the microscreens at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, without public bidding, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-21 adopted. Ordinance No. 97-22 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Enviro Enterprises, Inc. to provide engineering services for the evaluation of the existing aeration process system at the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-22 adopted. 6
