The motion <br />was seconded by Mr. McKay and unanimously approved. <br />2) The BZD Committee reviewed Ordinance No. 97-23 which accepts an easement for the <br />installation and maintenance of a water line for the purpose of supplying water service by <br />the City of Cleveland to land owned by Hennie Homes Inc. The water line is to be <br />extended into their property for the Cinnamon Woods development. The City of <br />Cleveland requires that extension of water lines shall only be approved if easements are <br />granted to the City of Cleveland and North Olmsted so that water mains can be <br />constructed and maintained. The BZD Committee recommended passage of the <br />legislation. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: 1) The <br />committee met this evening, and in attendance were committee members O'Grady, <br />Limpert and Nashar; Council Members McKay and Musial; Safety Director Kasler. The <br />committee discussed a new liquor permit at 23642 Lorain Road, DBA Laurel's Family <br />Restaurant. The Police Department had no objection to the liquor permit, and the <br />committee recommended approval. Mr. Nashar moved that Council have no objection to <br />the D1 liquor permit for Rania Inc., DBA Laurel's Family Restaurant, 23642 Lorain Road. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Limpert and unanimously passed. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Joyce Weber, 5737 Allendale Lane, thanked everyone for their support of the <br />Allendale/Carey project. Mayor Boyle thanked Mrs. Weber for her efforts. She and her <br />neighbors were thanked for being concerned citizens. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 97-21 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to make emergency repairs on the microscreens <br />at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, without public bidding, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 97-21 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-22 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />third reading. An ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North <br />Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Enviro Enterprises, Inc. to provide engineering <br />services for the evaluation of the existing aeration process system at the North Olmsted <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-22 <br />adopted. <br />6 <br />
