Council Minutes of 1/7/97 <br />Resolution No. 96-187 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its second reading. A <br />resolution opposing the State of Ohio being selected as the receiver of hazardous <br />radioactive nuclear waste from six midwestern states and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-189 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to amend Section 911.09 entitled "Sewer Connections; Tap-in Permit, Fee and <br />Penalty" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Ordinance No. 96-190 introduced by Mr. Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance accepting one (1) storm sewer easement located in the Coe lateral ditch in the <br />City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-191 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to amend Section 901.07 entitled "Treelawn Openings; Permit and Fee" of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, as amended. <br />Resolution No. 96-192 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for an addition <br />and alterations at the Police Station as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 96-195 introduced by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mayor Boyle and the <br />entire Council was given its second reading. A resolution in opposition of the rate <br />reduction plan as filed by Centerior Energy with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. <br />Resolution No. 96-196 introduced by Mayor Boyle and the entire Council was given its <br />second reading. A resolution in opposition to the merger of Centerior Energy <br />Corporation and Ohio Edison under a new holding company called FirstEnergy as it is <br />currently proposed. <br />Resolution No. 97-1 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle on behalf <br />of himself and the entire Council. A resolution authorizing the City of North Olmsted to <br />file an application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of <br />acquiring funds pursuant to Chapter 1502 of the Ohio Revised Code, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 97-1 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-2 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance amending Section 555.03 entitled "Specific Prohibitions" of Chapter 555 <br />entitled "Noise Control" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted and <br />declaring an emergency.
