<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCII. <br />"'~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />„`b OCTOBER 6,1998 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Mr. McKay moved to amend the agenda to include Ordinance No. 98-115 on first <br />reading. The motion was seconded by Mr. Nashar and unanimously approved. <br />President Saringer announced that the following legislation would be passed under <br />suspension of the rules: 98-103, 98-105, 98-107, 98-108, 98-109, 98-115. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of September 15, 1998 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of September 24, 1998 were approved as <br />written. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The Rocky River Court will hold proceedings in our city in the Council <br />Chambers on Thursday, October 8, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to <br />come and view the workings of the court. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: 1) The <br />committee met on Tuesday, October 6. In attendance were Council Members Gareau, <br />Miller, Nashar, Limpert and O'Grady and resident John Procaccini. The committee <br />discussed a new class C1 liquor license for Procaccini BP, 29131 Lorain Road. This <br />license will allow the sale of beer only in carryout containers until 1 a.m. The majority <br />of the committee recommended that Council have no objection to the liquor license. Mr. <br />Nashar moved that Council have no objection to the C1 liquor license for Procaccini BP, <br />29131 Lorain Road; motion seconded by Mr. Gareau. Roll call: Nashar, yes; Gareau, <br />yes; Kasler, yes Limpert, yes; McKay, no; Miller, no; O'Grady, yes. The motion passed <br />with five affirmative votes and two negative votes. <br />2) Mr. Nashar clarified that the warning period associated with Ordinance 98-114 would <br />only be in effect for the portion dealing with people parking on the hydrant side of the <br /> <br />
