The motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Gareau moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 98-109 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 98-111 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1139.01 and 1145.03 of the Zoning Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted, to change the conditions under which animal hospitals and pet shops are <br />permitted uses within the General Retail Business District of the city, and providing for <br />dog and cat kennels to become permitted uses within the Limited Industry-Industrial Park <br />District of the city. <br />Ordinance No. 98-112 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 505.15 of Chapter 505 of the General Offenses Code <br />entitled "Animals & Fowl," in order to prohibit the keeping, maintaining and feeding of <br />wild animals within the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-113 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 505.16 of Chapter 505 of the General Offenses Code <br />entitled "Animals & Fowl," in order to regulate the keeping and maintaining of vicious <br />and dangerous animals within the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-114 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar on <br />behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. An ordinance amending Section 351.03 of the <br />Traffic Code, entitled "Prohibited Standing or Parking Places," and the Traffic Control <br />File of the City of North Olmsted, in order to establish acity-wide ban against parking on <br />the hydrant side of streets, and further to provide for posting signs of this, and other city- <br />wide parking bans, at the entrance ways to the city on streets which traverse the city <br />limits, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, <br />hereinafter referred to as the MUNICIPALITY, in the matter of the hereinafter described <br />improvement and requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga by its Board of <br />County Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY. (Repair and resurfacing <br />of Gessner Road.) Mr. Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings <br />and committee review; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Joseph <br />Bouman, 23950 Gessner Road, asked if the city was repaving Gessner Road for $55,000. <br />Mayor Musial explained that it is a repaving of Gessner Road from Walter to Lorain <br />Road for approximately $130,000 to $140,000. The city's share will be approximately <br />$30,000 to $35,000. This will be a county project that will begin as soon as possible. Mr. <br />Gareau noted that Service Director Bohlmann had asked for passage under suspension of <br />the rule so that the legislation could be in place for possible start-up this year or to put it <br />_>• in place to be done first thing next year.
