Council Minutes of 9/15/98 <br />Resolution No. 98-96 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its third reading. A resolution <br />~,~„~ creating a citizens committee for the purpose of gathering and presenting to Council <br />projects for the city's 1999 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-96 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-101 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 1, 1999, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-102 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's <br />Benevolent Association, which agreement is the collective bargaining agreement between <br />the city and the North Olmsted Emergency Central Dispatchers, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-103 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1998. <br />Resolution No. 98-104 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on <br />behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution supporting Governor Voinovich's <br />campaign to oppose mandatory participation of state and local government employees in <br />the Social Security system. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Saringer assigned Resolution 98-101 and Ordinances 98-102 and 98-103 to the <br />Finance Committee and Resolution 98-104 to the Intra-Governmental Relations <br />Committee. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 6 p.m. on September 24 to <br />discuss Resolution 98-101, Ordinances 98-102 and 98-103 and capital improvement <br />issues. The Mayor and the directors of Finance and Safety are invited to attend. <br />Mr. Limpert scheduled a meeting of the Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; <br />Long-Range Planning Committee for September 24 immediately following the special <br />Council meeting. <br />Mr. Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting to discuss the location of identifier signs <br />along I-480 to immediately follow the Intra-Governmental meeting. <br />President Saringer announced a special Council meeting to be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, <br />~'" September 24, to pass the tax budget. <br />8 <br />._, .,.,u~ ..,... , ....._ N.._.... <br />
