Council Minutes of 9/1/98 <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Fir Mrs. Saringer announced that the recessed public hearing on Ordinance 98-36 would <br />continue at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15. <br />Mr. O'Grady and Mrs. Saringer discussed the time allotment for Council members to <br />explain their votes. Mr. Gareau said that perhaps Council should take Mrs. Saringer's <br />advice and discuss this rule of Council. He suggested that Mr. Limpert take this issue into <br />the Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation Committee. <br />Mr. Limpert moved that Council adjourn into an executive session to discuss a proposed <br />resolution to the William Prest case. The motion was seconded by Mr. Gareau and <br />unanimously passed. <br />Council adjourned into executive session at 9:50 p.m. Council reconvened at 10:05 p.m. <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for September 8 at 7 p.m. to <br />discuss "No Parking" signs throughout the city. Safety Director Jenkins and Dave Butler <br />are asked to attend. <br />Mr. Limpert scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for <br />September 8 immediately following the Public Safety Committee meeting to discuss <br />Council Rule 21. <br />Mr. Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Monday, September 14, at <br />6:30 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 98-36 and various Planning Commission items. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Saringer adjourned the meeting at 10:10 p.m. <br />Q- <br />Barbara L.
