Council Minutes of 9/1/98 <br />~~~~ Ordinance No. 98-90 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its second reading. An <br />~. ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />the removal of a yield sign and the installation of a stop sign on Westlawn Drive where the <br />same intersects with Maplehurst Drive, thereby regulating westbound traffic on Westlawn <br />Drive, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-91 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />independent contractor agreement with Robert J. Krynak, for the purpose of providing <br />traffic signal repair and consulting services to the city, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />O'Grady moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 98-91 is adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 98-93 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Ordinance No. 98-16 entitled "An ordinance to make appropriations <br />for current expenses and expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending <br />December 31, 1998 as amended." Mr. O'Grady moved to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Resident Dennis Lambert <br />asked why the ordinance did not include an emergency clause. Law Director Gareau <br />answered that an emergency clause was not needed because appropriation legislation goes <br />into effect immediately upon passage. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 98-93 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-95 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the payment of three thousand six hundred twenty-five dollars <br />($3,625.00) to Novak Concrete for water line opening concrete work performed at 23452 <br />Westchester, 26527 Sweetbrier, 4953 Selhurst, Clague and Brookpark, and S 104 Douglas <br />Avenue, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved to suspend the rule requiring <br />three readings; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved <br />for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-95 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-96 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its second reading. A <br />resolution creating a citizens committee for the purpose of gathering and presenting to <br />Council projects for the city's 1999 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />application, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-36 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading as amended. <br />An ordinance creating new and revised Section 1163.12 of the Zoning Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted, in order to permit businesses to be identified on permanent pylon and <br />ground identification signs in business areas containing more than one building, and <br />business buildings containing more than one business unit, as amended. <br />14 <br />
