MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 18,1998 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman Absent: Council Member Kasler Council President Saringer called the meeting to order 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance led by Eagle Scout Patrick Coleman. The minutes of the Council meeting of August 4, 1998 were approved as written. Mr. McKay moved to amend the agenda to include Ordinance 98-96; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. President Saringer announced that the following legislation would be passed under suspension of the rule: Resolutions 98-86, 98-87 and 98-92. SPECIAL LEGISLATION Resolution No. 98-86 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution commending the achievement by Patrick S. Coleman of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. Mr. Gareau moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Gareau moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-86 adopted. Patrick was asked to come forward, and Mr. Gareau congratulated him on behalf of the Mayor and Council. Mr. Gareau read the resolution commending Patrick's achievements, which included earning 31 merit badges, serving as an All Scouts Day Honorary Official in 1996 through 1998 and receiving the World Conservation Award, the Ad Altari Dei Award and the Pope Pius XII Award.
