Council Minutes of 8/18/98 <br />Ordinance No. 98-93 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />.~,~ ordinance amending Ordinance No. 98-16 entitled "An ordinance to make appropriations <br />for current expenses and expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending <br />December 31, 1998 as amended." <br />Ordinance No. 98-94 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance amending Section 351.04 of the Traffic Code of the City of North Olmsted so <br />as to provide increased criminal penalties for unlawful parking at handicapped parking <br />locations on public and private lots, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 98-95 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the payment of three thousand six hundred twenty-five dollars <br />($3,625.00) to Novak Concrete for water line opening concrete work performed at 23452 <br />Westchester, 26527 Sweetbriar, 4953 Selhurst, Clague and Brookpark, and 5104 Douglas <br />Avenue, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 98-96 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. A <br />resolution creating a citizens committee for the purpose of gathering and presenting to <br />Council projects for the city's 1999 Community Block Grant (CBG) application, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Saringer made the following committee assignments: Transportation Committee, <br />Ordinance 98-90; Finance Committee, Ordinances 98-91, 98-93 and 98-95; Public Safety, <br />Health & Welfare, Ordinance 98-94; Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long- <br />Range Planning Committee, Ordinance 98-96. <br />After much discussion, the following committee meetings were scheduled: <br />• BZD, Monday, August 24, at 6:30 p.m., to discuss Ordinance 98-81. A representative <br />from the Engineering Department is requested to attend. <br />• Transportation, Monday, August 24, immediately following BZD, to discuss <br />Ordinance 98-90. The Safety Director is asked to attend. <br />• Finance, Monday, August 24, at 7 p.m., to discuss Ordinances 98-91, 98-93, 98-95 <br />and the Law Department appropriations. The Finance Director and Service Director <br />are asked to attend. <br />• Committee-as-a-Whole, Monday, August 24, immediately following Finance, to <br />discuss the status of the slab repair project. The Law Director and Finance Director <br />are asked to attend. <br />• Public Safety, Health & Welfare, Monday, August 24, immediately following <br />Committee-as-a-Whole, to discuss Ordinance 98-94.
