Council Minutes of 8/18/98 (Fair Housing Act) and Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 4112.01 (H) (Fair Housing Act) ,~, prohibiting discrimination in all aspects of the sale, rental, and occupancy of dwellings in the City of North Olmsted on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, ancestry, familial status, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or handicap; and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 98-87 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the payment of nine thousand six hundred seventy-five dollars ($9,675.00) to Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co. for storm sewer work performed at 3565 Walter Road and 4618 Michael Avenue, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-87 adopted. Ordinance No. 98-88 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its second reading. An ordinance creating new and revised Section 949.03 and 949.04 of Chapter 949 of the Codified Ordinances, entitled "Trees and Weeds," in order to more clearly identify the obligations of property owners to maintain their lawns, trees and shrubbery in a trimmed condition, and to control the growth of noxious and poisonous weeds, and vines, in the city, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Ordinance No. 98-89 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by providing for the installation of "No Parking" signs on the south side of MacBeth Avenue beginning at Clague Road and continuing to the Fairview Park city line, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 98-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar. An ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by providing for the removal of a yield sign and the installation of a stop sign on Westlawn Drive where the same intersects with Maplehurst Drive, thereby regulating westbound traffic on Westlawn Drive, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 98-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an independent contractor agreement with Robert J. Krynak, for the purpose of providing traffic signal repair and consulting services to the city, and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 98-92 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution designating August 26, 1998 as Women's Equality Day in recognition of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U. S. Constitution and in opening employment opportunities to women and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously.
