Council Minutes of 8/18/98 <br />(Fair Housing Act) and Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 4112.01 (H) (Fair Housing Act) <br />,~, prohibiting discrimination in all aspects of the sale, rental, and occupancy of dwellings in <br />the City of North Olmsted on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, ancestry, familial <br />status, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or handicap; and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 98-87 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the payment of nine thousand six hundred seventy-five dollars <br />($9,675.00) to Fabrizi Trucking & Paving Co. for storm sewer work performed at 3565 <br />Walter Road and 4618 Michael Avenue, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Limpert; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-87 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 98-88 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance creating new and revised Section 949.03 and 949.04 of Chapter 949 of the <br />Codified Ordinances, entitled "Trees and Weeds," in order to more clearly identify the <br />obligations of property owners to maintain their lawns, trees and shrubbery in a trimmed <br />condition, and to control the growth of noxious and poisonous weeds, and vines, in the <br />city, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 98-89 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />the installation of "No Parking" signs on the south side of MacBeth Avenue beginning at <br />Clague Road and continuing to the Fairview Park city line, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />the removal of a yield sign and the installation of a stop sign on Westlawn Drive where the <br />same intersects with Maplehurst Drive, thereby regulating westbound traffic on Westlawn <br />Drive, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />independent contractor agreement with Robert J. Krynak, for the purpose of providing <br />traffic signal repair and consulting services to the city, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 98-92 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution designating August 26, 1998 as <br />Women's Equality Day in recognition of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to <br />the U. S. Constitution and in opening employment opportunities to women and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings <br />and committee review; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously.
