There was a lot of publicity
~' regarding the skatepark issue, so it wouldn't be surprising that Coca-Cola had prior
knowledge of it and brought up the issue themselves. She doesn't see anything wrong
with Coca-Cola indicating where they want their donation to go
Mrs. Kasler moved to adopt Ordinance 99-151. The motion was seconded by Mr.
Gareau. "I think it's very appropriate that this
committee, these committee meetings and this vote takes place on December 7. If we
lose this $25,000, it could be another day that goes down in infamy." The motion passed
unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-151 adopted.
Ordinance No. 99-152 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An
ordinance designating a distribution of revenues derived from the agreement of the City
of North Olmsted and the Cleveland Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Inc. and declaring an
emergency. An
ordinance amending Section 761.01 of Chapter 761 of the Business Regulation Code of
the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Adult Entertainment Businesses," in order to define
the word "Features" as used in said section of Chapter 761, and declaring an emergency.
Mr. Nashar moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously.
Ordinance No. 99-153 adopted.
Ordinance No. 99-155 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. Roll call: Nashar, yes; Miller, yes; O'Grady, yes; Gareau, yes; Limpert, yes, with
brief comment that he questions whether tabling this issue will decrease traffic. Perhaps
passing the ordinance would have given an avenue for trucks that make a mistake to get
out of North Olmsted without going through very much of our streets.
