Council Minutes of 12/7/1999 <br />intersection of Windsor Drive and McKenzie Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring <br />,Y,, an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-167 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Browning- <br />Ferris Industries of Ohio, Inc., for a two year extension to the contract for the collection <br />and disposal of solid waste and processing of recyclable materials, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-168 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) and the City of North Olmsted <br />providing for a joint operating agreement to provide transit services in accordance with <br />said agreement, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Saxinger made the following committee assignments for legislation: Ordinance <br />99-160 to the Streets & Drainage Committee; 99-161, 99-164 and 99-166 to the Finance <br />Committee; 99-162 and 99-165 to the Public Safety Committee; 99-163 jointly to the <br />Finance and Recreation Committees; 99-167 to the Environmental Control Committee; <br />99-168 to the Transportation Committee. <br />President Saringer asked Council to review the list of pending legislation prepared by the <br />Clerk to see if any of the legislation could be acted upon. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled, a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, December 14, at <br />6 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 99-161, 99-164 and 99-166 followed by a joint committee <br />meeting with Recreation Committee for Resolution 99-163. The directors of Finance, <br />Service and Safety are invited to attend. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets & Drainage and Environmental Control Committee <br />meeting for Tuesday, December 14, following the RecreationlFinance Committee <br />meeting. Mr. Bohlmann is asked to attend. <br />Mr. Miller scheduled a Transportation Committee meeting to discuss Ordinance 99-168 <br />immediately following the Streets & Drainage and Environmental Control Committee <br />meeting. The Mayor and a representative of the Law Department are asked to attend. <br />Mr. Nashar said he would schedule a Public Safety Committee meeting within the next <br />two weeks. <br />President Saringer announced that a special Council meeting would be held at 6 p.m. on <br />December 29, and on the agenda would be Ordinances 99-164, 99-167 and 99-168. <br />18 <br />,_. _..:~s . ... .,a~, ~~.. <br />
