An
ordinance repealing Chapter 731, entitled "Motion Pictures and Films" of the Codified
Ordinances, in order to avoid redundant and outdated laws.
Ordinance No. 99-157 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An
ordinance amending Section 12 of Ordinance 98-32 entitled "An Ordinance Establishing
Rates of Compensation for Various Administrative and Legislative Personnel, and
Declaring an Emergency" so as to provide updated hourly rates for part-time employees
in the Park and Recreation Department, and declaring an emergency.
Ordinance No. 99-158 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An
ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other
expenditures far the year ending December 3, 1999.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Mr. O'Grady scheduled a meeting of the Finance Committee for 6 p.m. on Monday,
November 22 to consider Ordinances 99-157 and 158. The directors of Finance, Service
and Safety are asked to attend. (The meeting will be held in the Mayor's conference
room. )
Mr. Gareau scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting for
Monday, November 29, at 6 p.m. There are approximately nine submittals from the
Planning Commission to be discussed. Representatives of the Building and Engineering
Departments are requested to attend.
Mr. Gareau said he had received a communication from Mr. Tallon, chairman of North
Olmsted Planning Commission, requesting an extension of time to review Ordinances
99-139 and 99-140. Mr. Tallon stated it is in everyone's best interest to understand and
be more fully knowledgeable of these ordinances and more time is necessary. Since this
matter was discussed during caucus and there were no objections at that time, Mr.
Gareau moved that Council grant Planning Commission an extension of 30 days time to
review Ordinances 99-139 and 99-140. The motion was seconded by Mr. McKay and
unanimously approved.
Mr. Nashar scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting and a joint
meeting with the Transportation Committee immediately following the Finance meeting
of November 22 to discuss Ordinance 99-155 and 99-156.
