Following the Korean Conflict and World War II, changes were made,
legislation was passed by Congress in June of 1954 that made this day Veterans Day, a
day that recognizes the achievements and the contributions and the sacrifices of all
veterans of all American conflicts. It is right and proper that the city does such a great
job of recognizing these veterans, and he looks forward to the November 11 ceremony.
Roll call continued: Gareau, yes; Kasler, yes; Limpert, yes; Miller, yes; Nashar, yes.
The motion passed unanimously.
