The committee <br />unanimously recommended approval of 99-87 and recommended suspension of the <br />rule requiring three readings. <br />• Ordinance 99-88 is a note relating to the improvements in the city's police station, <br />$40,000 of the original $202,000 was paid down, resulting in a new note in the <br />amount of $162,000. <br />• Ordinance 99-89 is a note relating to storm and sanitary water improvements in the <br />Lansing Drive area of the Forest Ridge development in the amount of $500,000. <br />• Ordinance 99-90 is a note relating to storm and sanitary improvements at the <br />Broxbourne lift station in the amount of $420,000. Thirty thousand dollars has been <br />paid down on the original note of $450,000. <br />• Ordinance 99-91 is a note in the amount of $400,000 relating to improvements to the <br />Recreation Center roof and the HVAC system. <br />• Ordinance 99-92 is a note in the amount of $312,000 which also relates to <br />improvements to the Recreation Center roof and HVAC system. <br />• Ordinance 99-93 is a note in the amount of $300,000 which also relates to the roof <br />and HVAC system. <br />• Ordinance 99-94 is a note in the amount of $809,000 relating to street and storm <br />improvements in the city. This note has been paid down in the amount of $34,000 <br />from the original note amount of $843,000. <br />• Ordinance 99-95 is a note in the amount of $150,000 for the Chestnut storm sewer <br />improvements. <br />• Ordinance 99-96 is a note in the amount of $260,000 for the municipal complex and <br />the Old Town Hall. This note has been paid down $6,000 from the original amount <br />of $266,000. <br />• Ordinance 99-97 is a note in the amount of $202,000 relating to improvement in <br />storm sewers and water drainage facilities. <br />• Ordinance 99-98 is a note in the amount of $ l . l for street improvements in the City <br />of North Olmsted. This includes such things as slab replacement and the Brookpark <br />Phase II. <br />Ordinances 99-88 through 99-98 are replacement notes for earlier borrowing. The only <br />change from earlier versions is that the amount of $110,000 has been paid down on <br />selected debts. The committee unanimously recommended approval. <br />• Ordinance 99-99 is new borrowing in the amount of $300,000 for the Springvale Golf <br />Course and Ballroom. This borrowing will be repaid from earnings at Springvale and <br />does not come from city tax revenue. Specifically, the money will be used to asphalt <br />the parking lot and add ADA compatible rest rooms to the main floor of the ballroom. <br />Extensive discussions followed where Council expressed concern over the lack of <br />more specific plans for both the ADA rest rooms and the parking lot. However, with <br />the assurances of the Finance Director that Springvale could afford to borrow <br />$300,000 for these improvements and with assurances from the administration that at <br />least $300,000 will be required for these needed upgrades and finally with the <br />knowledge that delaying this note would result in an increased cost to the city of over <br />4 <br />
