Special Council Minutes of July 5, 1999 <br />Resolution No. 99-78 introduced by Mrs. Kasler was given its second reading. A <br />resolution opposing House Bill No. 175 which would result in less job stability and <br />reduced benefits for working men and women. Mrs. Kasler moved for suspension of the <br />rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Gareau; motion passed unanimously. Mrs. <br />Kasler moved for adoption; second by Mr. Gareau. During roll call, Mrs. Kasler asked <br />that the legislation be signed this day so that it could be immediately sent to the <br />Governor. Mayor Musial recommended that also be done with Resolution 99-74. The <br />motion was passed unanimously. Resolution No. 99-78 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 99-84 was introduced and placed on first by Mayor Musial. A resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to submit and seek financial assistance from the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation for funding of various municipal pedestrian improvements projects, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review; second by Mr. Miller; motion passed unanimously. Mr. <br />O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Miller; motion passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 99-84 adopted. <br />With the agenda being completed, President Saringer adjourned the meeting at 9:25 a.m. <br />r' <br />L.
