Council Minutes of June 15, 1999 commended the Finance Director for the amount of research that she put into determining fair and equitable salary ranges and expressed some dissatisfaction with the fact that Council was not able to meet that. Roll call continued: Nashar, yes; Miller, yes; Limpert, yes; Kasler, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-45 adopted. Resolution No. 99-68 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for acquisition of a dewatering centrifuge for pilot testing at the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 99-69 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its second reading. A resolution re-authorizing a citizens' committee created by Resolution No. 98-96 for the purpose of gathering and presenting to Council projects for the city's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications, as amended, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. An ordinance creating new Section 135.021 of Chapter 135 of the Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Department of Finance," for the purpose of creating a new position of Assistant Director of Finance, and declaring an emergency as amended. Mr. Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-67 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mr. McKay. An ordinance amending Section 901.07 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Treelawn Openings; Permit and Fee" in order to provide for alternate methods and materials for treelawn brickscapes, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 99-71 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mayor Musial.
