Council Minutes of 5/5/99 <br />Resolution No. 99-59 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. A <br />°' resolution declaring May 9-15, 1999 as Preservation Week, and declaring an emergency. <br />;,~,,. <br />Mr. Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee <br />review; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Gareau moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 99-59 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 99-60 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to negotiate and enter into <br />agreements for the purchase of two (2) parcels of vacant land located in the Industrial <br />Park (Permanent Parcel Numbers 234-11-139 and 234-11-141) in connection with the <br />project to construct a new city bus garage, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-61 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />emergency ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute the amended agreement <br />establishing the Westshore Council of Governments, and as further described in <br />Exhibit "A." <br />President Saringer assigned Ordinance 99-60 to the Finance Committee and Ordinance <br />99-61 to the Legislative Committee. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. Limpert moved to adjourn into executive session to discuss the purchase of real <br />estate; motion was seconded by Mr. Gareau; the motion passed unanimously. Council <br />adjourned into executive session at 9:25 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 9:40 p.m. <br />Mr. Gareau noted that he had received a note from Jacquelyn Chavez-Anderson wishing <br />everyone a very happy Cinco De Mayo. <br />Mr. Nashar moved to excuse the absence of Mr. O'Grady; second by Mr. McKay; motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />In Mr. O'Grady's absence, Mrs. Kasler and Mr. Limpert scheduled a Finance Committee <br />meeting following the Springvale pre-audit meeting on Tuesday, May 11, to discuss <br />Ordinance 99-60. The Mayor is asked to attend. <br />Mr. Limpert scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long-Range <br />Planning Committee meeting immediately following the Finance Committee to discuss <br />Ordinances 99-54 and 99-61. Mrs. Kasler will ask someone from the trade unions to <br />attend.
