Council Minutes of 4/20/99 <br />Ordinance No. 99-55 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />,,,~ ordinance creating new Section 171.07 of Chapter 171 of the Administrative Code of the <br />City of North Olmsted, entitled "Community Reinvestment," in order to establish the <br />position of part-time secretary to the Housing Council and Tax Incentive Review <br />Council, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-56 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance 98-32 entitled "An ordinance establishing <br />rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel, and declaring <br />an emergency," in order to establish a salary range for the newly-created position of <br />secretary of the Housing Council and Tax Incentive Review Council, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Saringer assigned Ordinances 99-34, 99-51, 99-55 and 99-56 to the Finance <br />Committee; Ordinance 99-50 to the Safety Committee; Ordinance 99-54 to the <br />Legislative Committee. <br />Mrs. Saringer announced that the next Council meeting would be held on Wednesday, <br />May 5, due to the primary election on Tuesday, May 4. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Wednesday, April 28, at 6 p.m. <br />to review Ordinances 99-44, 99-18, 99-34, 99-51, 99-55 and 99-56. The Finance <br />Director and the Service Director are requested to attend. A legal opinion is requested <br />with regard to information received on Ordinance 99-44. <br />Mr. Limpert scheduled a Legislative Committee meeting immediately following the <br />Finance Committee to discuss Ordinance 99-54. <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Safety Committee meeting immediately following the <br />Legislative meeting to discuss Ordinance 99-50. The Safety Director is asked to attend. <br />Mr. Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Monday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. <br />The members of the Landmarks Commission and resident Mrs. Petrigac are invited to <br />attend. <br />Mrs. Saringer announced the Scout Honorary Officials would be attending the May 18 <br />Council meeting. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked Mr. O'Grady if he had a report on the Y2K problem. Mr. O'Grady <br />explained his committee was Vision Y2000 and Beyond, a group of residents that will <br />take a look at the long-range needs of the city. Mayor Musial said there is a separate <br />committee chaired by Gary Hannum looking into the computer Y2K problem. Gary is <br />continually working on the problem and is on schedule. Mrs. Saringer said she had <br />brought the concern up over a year ago and was curious as to whether we are testing <br /><~... <br />10 <br /> <br />
