Council Minutes of 4/6/99 <br />Ordinance No. 99-36 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />.,~~ ordinance amending Section 943.07 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "Rates for Opening and Closing Graves; Staking for Monuments or <br />Headstones." <br />Ordinance No. 99-37 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 741.03 of Chapter 741 of the Business Regulation Code of <br />the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Deliveries to Commercial Establishments," so as to <br />prohibit making or receiving deliveries, or running engines of motor vehicles, near <br />residences between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-40 introduced by Mr. Gareau was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance creating new and revised Chapter 165 of the Administrative Code of the City <br />of North Olmsted, entitled "Landmarks Commission," for the purpose of further <br />preserving and promoting the city's landmarks and landmarks districts, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution No. 99-41 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for Phase 3 <br />(1999) improvements in the storm drainage system in the Lansing Drive and Forest Ridge <br />subdivision area as detailed in the plans and specifications on file and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance accepting two (2) easements for the installation and maintenance of water <br />mains for the purpose of supplying water service by the City of Cleveland to land owned <br />by Hennie Homes, Inc., and declaring an emergency. Mr. Gareau moved for suspension <br />of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Gareau moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 99-42 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 99-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on <br />behalf of himself and Mr. Nashar. A resolution requesting the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation to improve Interstate 480 from the west corporation line to the east <br />corporation line by constructing noise barriers and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 135.021 of Chapter 135 of the Administrative Code of <br />the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Department of Finance," for the purpose of creating <br />a new position of Assistant Director of Finance, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 99-45 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance 98-32 entitled "An ordinance establishing <br />rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel, and declaring <br />an emergency," in order to establish a salary range for the newly-created position of <br />~„6 Assistant Director of Finance, and declaring an emergency. <br />~..,ti, <br />9 <br /> <br />
