Council Minutes of 2/16/99 <br />issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $1,100,000, in <br />~a anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated <br />streets in the city, in cooperation with Cuyahoga County, the City of Westlake and the <br />Director of Transportation of the State of Ohio and otherwise, by grading, draining, <br />curbing reconstructing the pavement base, preparing the surface, surfacing and <br />resurfacing and installing street lighting and related underground wiring, in each case <br />together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 99-23 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady who <br />noted that the fiscal officer's certificate was attached. An ordinance providing for the <br />issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $500,000, in <br />anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's sanitary <br />sewerage system by constructing and reconstructing storm sewers and other storm water <br />drainage facilities and improvements to control and limit the volume of storm water <br />entering or otherwise affecting the sanitary sewerage system, in each case together with <br />the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 99-24 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady who <br />noted that the fiscal officer's certificate was attached. An ordinance providing for the <br />issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $300,000, in <br />anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's park and <br />recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating and otherwise improving <br />the Recreation Center. <br />Ordinance No. 99-25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady who <br />noted that the fiscal officer's certificate was attached. An ordinance providing for the <br />issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $150,000, in <br />anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of constructing and reconstructing <br />storm sewers and storm water drainage facilities. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 6 p.m. on February 23 to <br />discuss Ordinances 99-22, 99-23, 99-24 and 99-25. The directors of Finance, Service and <br />Safety are asked to attend. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting immediately following <br />the Finance Committee on February 23 for the purpose of discussing Ordinance 99-21. <br />Mr. Bohlmann is asked to attend. <br />Mr. Nashar moved to excuse the absence of Mrs. Kasler. The motion was seconded by <br />Mr. O'Grady and unanimously passed. <br />On behalf of Mrs. Kasler, Mrs. Saringer asked the Mayor if he was familiar with the <br />concerns of Mrs. Barbara Sees, 25600 County Club Boulevard, who has expressed a <br />concern about the noise of truck motors left running while delivery men unload behind <br />Mares.
